Over the past few years, members of the AYLUS Raritan Valley Branch have demonstrated unwavering commitment to our Overseas Tutoring Program. These dedicated volunteers have taught English to children in China, often balancing lessons with multiple students each week. Their hard work has not only made a meaningful educational impact but also helped us raise significant funds for charitable causes.
In the 2022-2023 period, our donations supported educators through DonorsChoose.org and provided $4,000 directly to East Brunswick High School, funding various club activities. Building on this momentum, we collaborated with the East Brunswick Education Foundation in 2023, matching their $3,500 contribution with our own to deliver a total of $7,000 to the school. This partnership allowed us to maximize our impact, enhancing resources for teachers and improving the classroom environment for students.
For the 2024-2025 academic year, we have continued this collaborative spirit. Once again partnering with the East Brunswick Education Foundation, we contributed $3,000, which they matched to create a $6,000 donation. This funding will further support East Brunswick educators and enrich the learning experience for students across the district. We are immensely grateful for the EBEF’s support and their shared dedication to fostering a thriving educational community.
