On Saturday the 7th in December 2024, the Roslyn Aylus Branch helped out the food pantry. NOSH Delivers, at Glen Cove.
The AYLUS volunteer members arrived and collaborated with different volunteer organizations, one of them being the ale Club Foundation. Each of us helped organize supplies to prepare for the activities that would occur during the event, such as creating gingerbread cookies, baubles, and santa hats. Members also helped out with showing attendees designated parking spaces and organized the tent’s decorations and food to give out. During the event, we also helped kids create their own gingerbread and distributed toys near the end of the event.
We were all glad to help out members of the community who were struggling in being unable to experience any sort of festive joy, and providing the experience allowed us all to connect with members of the community and bond with each other at the same time.
