On the morning of December 7th, youth volunteers from AYLUS Pearland gathered at the West Pearland Library to support its popular Holiday Open House event. With families arriving early, eager to join the festivities, volunteers took on various roles, including greeting guests, assisting with the snow slide, helping children decorate cookies, and managing the end-of-event cleanup. The face painting booth, entirely hosted by AYLUS Pearland volunteers, was a major highlight, with children lining up from start to finish. Volunteers created holiday-themed face paint designs, which were met with enthusiastic approval from guests.
The event provided a valuable opportunity for AYLUS Pearland volunteers to engage with the local community and make the holiday season brighter for families. By taking on a variety of tasks, the volunteers helped create a welcoming and festive atmosphere, ensuring that the event ran smoothly and that every participant had a memorable experience. The positive impact was evident in the smiles of the children and families, as well as the deepened connections between the library, volunteers, and the residents of Pearland.
