On December 1st, AYLUS members had a local beach clean up.
They started at the upper park, making their way through the grass in the early morning. Along the way, they found an assortment of plastic wrapping and single use utensils. At the picnic tables, they scored the floor for trash people had left from their breakfast by the beach. As they went down to the beach, one of the members found a plastic water bottle that was put into a separate bag that would be brought to the recycling center later. Finally, they correctly separated the trash from the recycling and disposed of each correctly.
