We launched a unique project this week, right after Halloween. Usually, there is always so much waste on treats after Halloween. Parents don’t want their kids to overeat candy they collected from Trick or Treat. They would throw those treats away secretly. Our volunteers found a perfect way to solve the problem. They decided to collect treats from the neighborhood and donate them to the soldiers.
Taige designed a poster, and all volunteers who participated in this project printed or spread the poster on social media. Then, they set up a collection station in their neighborhood. Sky Tianyi and Micheal also drew a sweet greeting card for soldiers with these treats. The whole collection period depends on the volunteer’s availability. Our volunteers are so happy they can give a little gift to soldiers and avoid wasting treats through this project.
