On October 26th, two members of our branch volunteered at the Discovery shop. The shop supports the American Cancer Society with the proceeds from the sale of the items that are donated.
We helped on putting the new merchandise on the display window and racks and had an opportunity to learn how to replace the receipt paper roll. We helped customers and answered their questions and assisted with their needs. We cleaned up the dust on the floor and assisted with the cashier duties as well. The shop had a 50% promotion on green tagged items so it was a busy shift.
