On Sunday, October 20, the AYLUS Dix Hills Branch volunteered at the Long Island Chinese School to assist in creating ID cards for new students. Volunteers were taught to use programs and devices to organize a student’s information such as their fingerprints and name, print them out and laminate them. These identification cards can be used not just in the school but also in case anything were to happen to the student, so that authorities can more easily find them. Along with helping in making ID cards, volunteers also assisted teachers with printing out materials and retrieving items. Volunteers worked from 1pm to 4:30pm in the Long Island Chinese School.
