On June 26th, 2024, three students from McDowell High School founded the 159th branch of the Alliance of Youth Leaders in the United States (AYLUS): Erie, PA.

Description of the Summit Branch:

The goal of Mission Melody is to inspire, uplift, and connect our community through the transformative power of music. Our club is dedicated to providing enriching musical experiences and educational opportunities to diverse audiences. We offer a variety of programs, including music instrument bootcamps, engaging performances for the elderly at nursing homes, joyful Disney song sessions for daycare students, vibrant cultural day performances, and exciting talent shows. Our goal is to foster a love for the arts and nurture the talents of our members, using music as a tool for positive social change. We aim to enhance the well-being of individuals and communities, promoting unity and cultural appreciation. By bringing music into the lives of people from all walks of life, we hope to create a more harmonious and connected society. Through our efforts, we strive to make a meaningful impact, touching hearts and minds, and spreading the joy and benefits of musical engagement far and wide.
