On June 26th, 2024, three students from West Morris Mendham High School founded the 160th branch of the Alliance of Youth Leaders in the United States (AYLUS): Mendham, NJ.

Description of the Mendham Branch:

The Mendham Branch of AYLUS in NJ is dedicated to enhancing our community and fostering a commitment to community involvement. We aim to engage our members in various service projects that promote skills such as collaboration, communication, teamwork and innovation. Our objective is to provide all participants with the opportunity to utilize their skills and interests to make a positive contribution to the community. Through our services, we hope to have a lasting impact on both individuals and the community, and help build a sense of unity. Our aim is to establish an inclusive environment where individuals can join, enjoy themselves while making a difference, and develop a stronger community. We hope that through this branch, we will develop personal qualities to serve the community and other people. We are committed to expanding our branch to involve more local young people in volunteer work within our communities, and we welcome anyone interested in taking part in our initiatives.
