On October 5th 2024, several AYLUS volunteers helped out at the Dallas Chinese Fellowship Church to help our special needs friends exercise and learn. This week was very exciting as new kids showed up at the church to join us in activities such as dancing. Our older friends reviewed various Christian verses and their lessons in respect and responsibility. After we had a quick snack break for our friends. By then most of our new special needs kids arrived and not wanting to overwhelm them, we abandoned our original plan of playing basketball. Instead they joined us in lighter physical activities like dancing along to Christian and pop songs. We also introduced the kids to musical activities, using body percussion to make music through clapping and stomping. Lastly we set up tables for lunch.
