Syosset AYLUS Members Volunteer at Eisenhower Park Farmer’s Market 9/7/24

On 9/7/24 our Aylus volunteers went to the CCE farmers market at Eisenhower Park. The market is relatively small but it has a wide amount of products all from small local businesses, including fresh produce, jams, coffee, baked goods, and crafts. Hundreds of people come to support the market and have a relaxing time viewing the market and walking around the park.

Our volunteers started as early as 8:30 by helping by bringing supplies from the building and setting up the tents. Two tents were set up with one giving information about gardening and farmers markets to visitors and the other being an activities table for kids which has many activities like coloring sheets, word searches, stickers, and more. Volunteers welcomed visitors, kept count of how many people came, and helped kids with the handouts. Members also told visitors about a different stand in the building called Taste NY.
