The African Library Project is an organization that gathers new/gently used books from donations and ships them to Africa to build libraries. Recently, we designed two flyers that would expand our impact and help our organization reach new heights. When designing the flyer for the African Library Project, we aimed for a sleek and modern aesthetic that would capture attention with bold headings rather than flashy elements. Since this design was more focused on text, I used a black background paired with a muted white for the text, which kept the design minimal but striking. We are pleased with how they turned out and hope these flyers inspire more people to donate books and join us. We at AYLUS are incredibly grateful for all the friends, family, and community members in the area who have come together to support this project. We’d also like to extend a special thanks to the DaDa Chinese School founder, Ms. Wang, for her invaluable assistance. Ms. Wang created a drop spot for donating books to support the ALP and will continue to function as one in the future. The support from the community has been incredible, and because of it, we’ve been able to donate around 6,000 books, creating six libraries in Africa so far. We’re hopeful that with continued support, we can establish even more libraries soon.
