The 5th health fair at Ed White ES nfeatured partnerships with Hummingbird Community Outreach, Light and Salt Association (LSA), Agape Dental, DTHY Matters, and the AYLUS Houston branch. LSA provided a range of free services, including height/weight measurements, blood pressure and blood sugar checks, and mammogram registration. Agape Dental offered dental consultations, and DeBakey High School’s club, DTHY Matters, provided dental hygiene essentials. Volunteers set up healthy living education booths to promote MyPlate guidelines and rainbow dietary habits. Two additional booths focused on mental health topics, particularly educating kids on emotional regulation. Pearland volunteers also organized mini Olympics physical games to promote healthy living. Kids and parents who participated in the health fair enjoyed face painting, balloon twisting, cotton candy, note books, Bath bombs, snacks as rewards. The event saw a fantastic turnout, with about 400 school-aged children and parents participating. At the end of the event AYLUS Pearland donated $500 to Ed White PTO.
