Members gathered at the Fertile Groundworks Garden from 7:30 to 10:30 on the morning of August 7th. Volunteers learned how to harvest ripe tomatoes, peppers, squash, basil, and different varieties of chard. Afterwards, they clipped overgrown tomato plants and made sure they stayed in their cages and didn’t intrude on the paths.
AYLUS Tri-Valley hopes that the work done today will help bring fresh produce to those in need around the area.
A big thanks to everyone who helped out!
