On August 4, 2024, 17 volunteers from the Frisco & Plano AYLUS branch gathered at the Frisco Public Library from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM. During this event, our volunteers learned the basics of crochet, knitting, and finger knitting with the eventual goal of creating headwear fit for donations. Oftentimes, cancer patients who go through chemotherapy wind up with hair loss as a result of the treatment. In order to help fellow members of our community transition and accept the change, our volunteers are dutifully creating various types of hats. A big thank you and wonderful job to the volunteers that joined us today!
