Newtown AYLUS Donates Homemade Cookies to Local Food Pantry in July 2024

Reported by Diana Zhang

On July 24, members of the AYLUS Newtown branch volunteered to bake an assortment of cookies for clients of the Family Service Association of Bucks County’s Food Pantry, a local food pantry dedicated to aiding those in need with nutritious and delicious food. We donated the cookies to the FSABC headquarters on July 25, 2024.

Our members prepared the delicious, homemade cookies with care for a meaningful and special contribution to the Food Pantry’s cause. Cookies included the well-known flavors of chocolate chips, sugar, and M&M’s, ensuring everyone has a handmade cookie they will thoroughly enjoy. Each cookie was carefully prepared and individually wrapped for convenient distribution. We hope the sweet treats will brighten the consumer’s day and put a smile on their face, knowing the cookies were made with love, care, and enthusiasm to help those in need!

Members who participated were Angela Zheng (3 hours), Diana Zhang (3 hours), and Eric Chen (2 hours). Each member participated in the baking, packaging, and drop-off processes.
