On July 5th, 128th branch of the Alliance of Youth Leaders in the United States (AYLUS) organized their weekly 1.5 hour sports day in continuation of promoting healthy habits and mental health. Today, the members of AYLUS decided its best to do a miscellaneous variety of sports activities from table tennis to volleyball and even to shooting spinning top and see which top lasts the longest. Eventually, the volunteers separated into 2 groups in helping 2 kids socialize more. Austin Wang played with Steve to help him be more comfortable with playing with other people. Meanwhile, Yucheng Fu and Cody Ngo taught another kid playing table tennis, hopefully helping him develop a life-long interest in the sport. Other times, Sabrina Yang and Austin Yang played volleyball together. Overall we had a great time. We hope that little by little, kids that maybe need help to socialize or just need a friend can feel included and comfortable talking to other people.
