On June 25, 2024, Pearland volunteers assisted the LSA Special Needs Caring Center’s day hab program. In the morning, volunteers supported center instructors with computer and music classes, helping participants enhance their digital literacy and musical abilities. In the afternoon, the volunteers took the lead in a life skills class focused on recycling, teaching the participants the importance and methods of recycling. Following this session, they conducted an art class where they painted on recycled glass bottles, demonstrating how to transform waste into art. This activity combined environmental education with creativity, encouraging participants to see the value in repurposing materials.
