On June 16th, 2024, Murrieta AYLUS members helped at local senior centers.
At Torrey Pines Senior Living: Arriving to find the residents outside already, enjoying the sunshine. Taking time to scoop yogurt and slice bananas as they exercised, the volunteers handed out the snacks after their workout. Passing around some napkins, the volunteers also helped some of the residents that couldn’t eat on their own by helping feed them. After the cups were collected, the residents were taken on a few walks around the courtyard. Because of the heat, the residents then went back inside to cool down, and did some light singing together before going down to lunch.

On June 16th, 2024, Murrieta AYLUS members volunteered at their local senior center.
Members signed in before making their way to their designated spots. In the ice cream parlor, members washed their hands before setting up and beginning to serve people. Since it was Father’s Day, they had a variety of toppings this time with marshmallows, gummy bears, skittles, and more. In the library, members found some people there already waiting. Members would switch off after playing 3-4 pieces, and took song requests during the half mark. At the end, members thanked the seniors for coming and in the parlor, members cleaned up before getting a sweet treat for themselves.
