Murrieta AYLUS Lends a Hand to The Little Garden of Hope Project (31st ) (5/25/2024)

Reported by Caien(Daisy) Chen :

On May 25th, AYLUS members visited Jacob’s garden and worked on the Little Garden of Hope Project. The members first watered all the plants they had previously planted last week and upon noticing that one of their garden plots had been upheaved, they decided to visit Home Depot to buy some more vegetables. At Home Depot, they bought pumpkins and squashes. While some team members bought the vegetables, others sweeped the garden and composted the leaves. Returning to the park, all members carefully separated the stems of each seed and planted the pumpkins and squashes in rows, carefully as to not ruin their roots. They then watered the newly planted vegetables and did one last sweep of the garden before putting all equipment back as it was.
