On May 11, a group of seven students from the AYLUS East Cobb Branch attended the Share a Light Award ceremony in Alpharetta. Thirteen members of our branch were recognized and received the award for their exceptional community service.
The ceremony allowed participants from various organizations to be acknowledged for their efforts in aiding their community. As part of the event, students from each organization had the opportunity to share how their work had impacted the lives of others. Three students spoke on behalf of our award recipients. Albert Zhang expressed gratitude on behalf of all the award recipients, thanking the Sino-USA Next Generation Foundation and emphasizing the importance and significance of volunteerism for the growth and development of young people. It is a great community outreach event to connect with students and leaders from many other volunteer orgainations in the Metro Atlanta area.
