On April 28, 2024, Murrieta AYLUS members helped local senior centers.
At Torrey Pines Senior Living: The volunteers started with attending to odds and ends of the seniors, giving them juice/water and cookies and feeding the residents that were unable to eat for themselves. After the snack, the residents were led through a yoga and breathing class, stretching out their joints and muscles. The volunteers blew up more balloons for another senior’s birthday, then played a sonata on the piano. Doing some light singing afterwards, the volunteers then took the residents to lunch.

On April 28th, 2024, Murrieta AYLUS helped serve ice cream to the seniors.
Since there was an entertainment event this week, members focused on serving ice cream to the seniors. Upon arriving, they opened shop and started getting ready. Members washed their hands and brought out the supplies needed. Members made sure to switch out the hot water when it got cold for the ice cream scooper since it helped the scooper scoop ice cream easier. Members who played piano usually every week enjoyed taking a break to relax this week.
