On Tuesday 4/16/24, from 7:00pm to 8:00pm, the AYLUS Ridgewood branch presented the bench cleaning project to the Ridgewood Parks & Recreation department at 259 N Maple Avenue.
Our task was to obtain approval from the Parks and Recreation department in Ridgewood for our plan to clean the public benches at both Veterans Park and Leuning Park. The presentation, which took about an hour, was a collaborative effort, and we also fielded questions from Ridgewood Board members. We are pleased to announce that the Parks and Recreation department has granted us permission to clean the public benches in both parks. Additionally, they have given us the opportunity to fundraise for our organization during Earth Day this coming Sunday. We are looking forward the fundraising event soon.
Members that participated the presentation include:
Justin Sheng (2 hour), Eric Zhou (2 hour), Ryan Cheng (2 hour), and Angela Casey (2 hour).
