AYLUS RC Branch Members Volunteer a clothing donation event on 09/24/2023

On September 24, 2023, 25 members of the AYLUS RC Branch gathered at our local community park, Day Creek Park, for a clothing donation volunteer event. This initiative encouraged members to donate unused clothing and shoes from their homes, which were then collected, sorted, and distributed to autistic children, impoverished families, and those in need of assistance. The event received enthusiastic responses from our members, and to enhance the atmosphere, we prepared adorable decorations to attract passersby’s attention to the cause. The event lasted for over three hours, from preparation to conclusion.

Elaine Wang, serving as the main advocate for the event, participated throughout its duration. With the assistance of parents, members donated anywhere from one to five bags of clothing. In total, we received 46 bags, comprising over 300 items of clothing. The ability to gather such a significant amount of clothing in such a short time brought great joy to everyone involved. As the event concluded successfully, many members expressed regret for not being able to attend and eagerly anticipated the next opportunity to contribute.
