Over the years RCA has continued to support our local animal shelters through various activities. Many shelters have been experienced challenges due to overpopulation. Sierra Kusek and Michael Brown took it upon themselves to alleviate the loneliness and boredom some of the animals experience in these shelters.
They created many handmade toys by recycling old t-shirts. They used donations and several of their own still well-preserved shirts and cut them into strips. After the initial prep work was done, they braided the strips into different toys.
The group hopes to continue this activity by not helping the shelter but also helping to reduce the trash on our landfills. Each of them created 20 toys.
