On March 16 2024 we attended the Supporting the women’s Financial Empowerment party to help bring awareness to AYLUS cause, do fundraising by providing egg tarts and selling bracelets.
Before the event started we set up our station and went around the room getting to know the
rest of the people who had attended. This helped us smoothly into the first event of the
afternoon, bingo. The game was a fun yet effective way for us to learn about one another such
as personal information, career and much much more. The guest enjoyed delicious snacks,
including the egg tarts made by AYLUS volunteer.
So when it came AYLUS time, we went up to present our own slides on AYLUS. We were the last group to present and they ended off the events with some downtime, where they provided materials to make a dream board. This was also time for networking, going into more one on one talks with the attendees and sell our hand made bracelets. Overall, the event provided us with invaluable learning experiences and deeper insights into the importance of financial literacy and community engagement.
