The Description of the Hampton Roads Branch

We are a group of student volunteers serving our community around in the Hampton Roads area in Virginia since 2015. We hope to join AYLUS as a branch named Hampton Roads, Virginia to share experience and keep communication with other branches in the organization, and get promoted and enhanced in our future services. Hampton Roads area covers a few tightly adjacent cities such as Virginia Beach, Chesapeake, Norfolk, Hampton, Ports Mouth, Suffolk, etc. This is an active international community that has many cultural events in every year, such as International Children’s Festival,  Asian Festival, Greece Day, Vietnam’s Day, Chinese New Year’s Day, Moon Festival, Boat Show, Norfolk Neighborhood Expo, and so on. We actively participated in many of these events by performing dancing, singing, dialog pieces and so on. We also took care of the homeless with food drives and cloth drives, brought love to aged people in local nursing houses, helped in botanical garden, etc. We are eager to make our community a better place to live through our cultural and artistic activities, to improve understanding among the people of various races from all over the world, to train our collaborative skills and leadership capability.
