On Saturday, February 10th, 2024, 2 members from the AYLUS Bellaire branch dedicated 3 hours to volunteering at the Houston Bread of Life Incorporation. Starting from 9:00 am until 12:00 pm, volunteers engaged in the sorting and packaging of a variety of healthcare and household products.
Founded by Pastors Rudy and Juanita Rasmus in 1992, The Bread of Life Inc. has been committed to supporting the homeless community in Houston by offering a wide range of services, largely driven by the help of volunteers.
During the 3 hours, volunteers were split up into teams and sorted into baskets of hand soap, paper towels, bug spray, thermometers, body wash, disinfectant spray, Ziplock bags, gloves, and masks. After organizing all these supplies, they were then packaged into a total of 180 boxes to be distributed to families in need.
