The AYLUS Dix Hills Branch partnered up with young writer Emma Zhou to help with her book talk. The book talk took place in the library, where Emma read aloud her 2 books and signed copies of them. As a writer, Emma accomplished quite a lot at such a young age, and was willing to share her experience for others to see. Volunteers helped manage the situation and assist Emma with spreading her socials to the guests, to better spread awareness of her. Volunteers worked from 1:30 to 4:00 to help Emma with her book talk, and organized things to keep everything running smoothly.
Volunteers: Bryan Fan (3 hrs), Ming Chen (3 hrs), Jonathan Fan (2.5 hrs), and Sarah Kong (2.5 hrs).
