Greater Memphis branch members taught chess at the Gardens of Germantown, 3179 Professional Plaza Dr., Germantown, TN. They were welcomed by the Business Director Monica and senior residents. Mr. Fred understood some chess tactics after Evan Wu explained to him. Mr. Fred and Ms. Clair enjoyed watching boys play chess against each other.

September 16th:
Chess club group 1:
Evan Wu, Alex Shi, Evan Shi, Cece Gao, Mia Gao, and Dominic Gao(2hrs/each)
taught chess at a new assisted living facility Brookdale Dogwood Creek, 8199 Poplar Ave, Germantown, TN on 9/16 from 3pm to 5pm. Evan Wu visited the facility a couple of months ago and met with the new activity director Kristy and discussed volunteer activities. Evan also invited chess club members to fill the volunteer forms that were required by the facility. The weekend staff Cathe welcomed the 7 volunteers and introduced residents to them. Allen and Steven enjoyed the chess lesson. Cathe took several photos of the activity and will put on their TV screens. She will invite more residents next week.
