On September 29th, 2023, Phoenix AYLUS members visited Feed My Starving children from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm (2 hours). The members were educated about the food they were packing and the impact that it had on the community where it would be distributed. The members were then split up into separate jobs such as scooping, bagging, weighing, sealing, and boxing, while working together to pack as many boxes of food as possible. Each of the boxes had 36 bags of food, which included Vitamins, Vegetables, Soy, and Rice. Throughout the session, volunteers kept on gloves and hairnets to guarantee that no harmful substances made their way into the food.
Participants included: Lawrence Zhong, Kevin Yan Chen, Marie Chen, Emma Zhang, Wenting Chen, Yongfeng Chen, Jenny Dong, Vincent Jiang, and Isaac Jiang.
