In September, the Greater Princeton Branch of AYLUS helped at the Highland Park Mid-Autumn Festival (Farms Market Lot between S 2nd Ave and S 3rd Ave, 212 Raritan Ace., Highland Park, NJ 08904).
GPA Volunteers helped celebrate a traditional Asian holiday, showcase Asian culture, and promote community engagement and unity.
Activities: Opening Ceremony-Welcome speech followed by a dragon and lion dance.
Performances: Traditional and contemporary dancing, Chinese opera musical instruments, martial arts and Tai Chi.
Business Activities: Shop area in the venue, providing all kinds of traditional food and snacks, displaying calligraphy, Chinese painting and crafts for participants to understand the techniques and history behind the culture and art, and also providing opportunities to try on traditional clothing and accessories.
Everyone was warmly welcomed to participate. Join GPA to celebrate the wonderful Mid-Autumn Festival together!
