On Saturday, July 8th, many members from AYLUS Syosset branch, as well as the Dix Hills branch, volunteered at the Clark Botanic Garden during the Long Island Multicultural Festival. Though the Festival started at 1:00 p.m., members arrived at 10:00 a.m. to prepare for the festival. Volunteers carried out tables and chairs for the booths, and set up tents and banners. Volunteers also guided visitors on detailed garden tours to inform them about the different species of trees and plants around the garden.
The Long Island Multicultural Festival is an event that cultivates more cultural appreciation among the community.
