On Thursday June 29th, the East Pittsburgh Aylus Branch once again heads to the Westmoreland food bank to volunteer. The primary task of the day was to assist in packing and organizing ice cream and bread item such as bread, bagels, croissants, donuts, baguettes, ect. Working alongside other volunteers, we followed the guidelines provided to ensure that the packing process was carried out efficiently and accurately. We focused on maintaining the quality of the products while also paying attention to the quantities required for each package. We coordinated with one another to divide the tasks and efficiently pack the ice cream and bread items into individual portions. My experience assisting at the local food bank to pack ice cream and bread items was both fulfilling and eye-opening. I am grateful for the opportunity to contribute to such a worthy cause. I look forward to future volunteering opportunities and continuing to support the food bank’s efforts to combat hunger in our community. In conclusion, my experience assisting at the local food bank to pack ice cream and bread items was fulfilling and impactful. I am grateful for the opportunity to contribute to such a noble cause. I look forward to future volunteering opportunities and continuing to support the food bank in their mission to combat hunger in our community.
