Summer heat waves are typical in Texas, but we still decided to hold our 4th fundraiser for the shipping cost of the Libraries With Love project.
On the morning of June 4th, 2023, we first designed our price list poster on tri-fold and made it clear at a glance. Then we pre-made lemonade with lemonade mix, sugar, and water. We bought two bags of ice and prepared $50 in small bills if the buyers needed change. We gathered together at Frisco Commons Park. However, compared with last month, fewer people were in the park. Half of the parking lots were still empty. Our new member received a $10 generous donation from a gentleman on his first AYLUS activity. Congrats! The best-seller was the lemonade due to the humid and hot weather. We still did our best to greet each person passing by and spread AYLUS spirit to local communities. This time, we learned that our fundraiser strategy, location, and time needed to change during the summer.
