Frisco & Plano branch collected and sorted used books for “Libraries with Love” project on March 5th, 2023

Reported by Jenny Wang

What a beautiful Sunday today!  Spring is here. Eight members of AYLUS Frisco & Plano branch spent their time on Sunday on sorting the used books which they collected last month. The mission of Libraries with Love is to raise awareness of the necessity of equal and quality education. We strive to provide reading resources and educational opportunities for children in economically disadvantaged regions.

After sorting these books, we found many books are beyond 8th grade reading level.  However, we could sell these books to raise fund to cover the shipping cost to send the rest K-8 books to New Orleans port. So we had a brief conversation with the team members on how to sell these non qualified books either online or in person.  We will finalize our fund raising / book selling plan next week. We are so exited to see all our branch members continued growth.
