On Sunday, December 18, 2022, AYLUS members put on a performance at The Chelsea Senior Center located at 606 Cranbury Road, East Brunswick, NJ. The Chelsea community offers several living options for seniors or elderly people, and we wanted to do something that would help lift their spirits and enjoy something. As our first musical performance, everyone was eager and nervous for the event. Our performance included piano songs, cello songs, a jazz ensemble, and a violin duet! They were incredible songs, and the audience liked the performance a lot. During the performance, we also held a raffle contest, in which some people won prizes prepared by our members. Seniors won gift cards, earrings, flowers, and many more prizes. Overall, the seniors had a great time at our performance and were very happy with the gifts that they won. We plan on coming back to perform again!
Thanks to all the members who came out and helped put on a fantastic performance!
Special thanks to Emma Wilson and Hannah Lin, who volunteered to play a violin duet.
