From November 15th to November 25th, AYLUS members have been collecting reusable bag donations for the second time. On November 23rd, AYLUS members went to Replenish Food Bank to deliver these donations.
Jennifer Apostol, the director of Replenish, provided us with a tour of the REPLENISH facility located in East Brunswick, NJ. She guided us through the different categories of donations that members in the community were in need of. This included canned food, dry goods, and toiletries. At the end, AYLUS members asked questions about how the facility operated.
Because of the recent ban on bags has placed an additional burden on the struggling families of Middlesex County, AYLUS collaborated again with REPLENISH to donate reusable bags. With Thanksgiving coming, our timely donation is sure to help these families.
