On September 5th, 2022, members of AYLUS Raritan Valley set out to Butterfly Park for a park cleanup. This time, the volunteers went to practically every square inch of the park to pick up garbage of different sizes. Volunteers found small pieces of plastic, cigarettes, energy drink bottles, and glass alcohol bottles. When looking inside of the forest, some pieces of garbage were so far deep in the woods that it begs the question of why people litter in such a beautiful park. We were happy to leave the park in a better condition and expect to return in the near future.
