On Monday, March 16, from 5:30-7:00, Aylus volunteers helped with the Accessible Art Program at the Great Neck House. This program is to help students with special needs do with all types of art.
Today students first made color backgrounds and then covered them with perler beads. The designs were all amazing. Also volunteers made drawings for some of the students. We all sat at a big table and had fun talking with each other, listening to music, and made unique creations.
At Accessible Art Program, volunteers and students interact with each other, making art with each other and having conversations. This really makes the students happy. We help each other out with our art and every single week, we develop our art skills and learn to communicate with others. Every week we learn something new and with everyone showing kindness and respect to each other, we can make great creations together.
