On Sunday, March 15, volunteers from the Alyus Therapeutic Skating Program spent time on the ice with children participating in the program at the Andrew Stergiopoulos Ice Rink from 2:15 to 3:15 p.m. Each volunteer was paired with a skater, offering guidance and support throughout the session.
The volunteers worked closely with their skaters to create a fun and safe environment while encouraging them to try new skills suited to their individual ability levels. Through patience and encouragement, they helped the skaters build confidence and enjoy their time on the ice.
Both the skaters and volunteers had a great time together, and everyone involved was grateful to be part of such a positive and enjoyable experience.
