The Bernards American Chinese Associations held the Bernards Township Lunar New Year Festival at Cedar Hills Elementary School (100 Peachtree Rd, Lyons, NJ 07920). AYLUS Basking Ridge Branch has been the main volunteer organization supporting the event since 2021.
Our volunteers arrived as early as 12:30 PM. They helped set up the stage, assisted with the dress rehearsal, delivered and set up lunch for all performers and volunteers, managed backstage operations during the performance, guided the audience and distributed flyers, and cleaned up after the celebration. Our volunteers received great feedback from both the hosting organization and the audience.
Several AYLUS Basking Ridge members also hosted or performed in today’s celebration. Their professional performances received great applause from the audience.
In addition to volunteering on site today, Yihao Zeng also helped the special education program create a video that was shown to the audience to gain community support during the celebration.
