AYLUS San Clemente Branch Members Volunteered at Mercy Warehouse Event #13 on March 8th, 2026

On Sunday, March 8, 2026, two individuals (Melvin Jiang and Shuqi Hu) from the
San Clemente branch helped as volunteers at Mercy Warehouse (13th time),
Laguna Niguel by organizing, sorting, and hanging clothes.
Since the Mercy Warehouse was having a winter sale, our job was to fill racks up
with hanged winter clothes, which we had to organize and sort from a large
pile. Melvin Jiang’s job was to grab, hang, and organize all the men’s winter
apparel, while Shuqi Hu had to do the same thing, but for the women’s section.
At the end of our shift, we hung about 8 racks full of clothes. Our impact was
helping the Mercy Warehouse be more productive and efficient, as we saved
them a lot of time and effort by helping them organize and put out their winter
clothing for sale. Some obstacles we encountered were dirty clothes, which we
easily conquered by being more careful, along with the use of gloves and
masks. Though the work is not hard, it does require long periods of time, and
constant effort which we used to our fullest. Through volunteering at Mercy
Warehouse, we learned the valuable lesson of being productive with our work,
since us doing just 3 hours of service could have saved the workers a lot more
time than that.

Members who participated include:
– Melvin Jiang (3 hours)
– Shuqi Hu (3 hours)
