AYLUS Basking Ridge held Tech Support program at Ridge Oak Senior Center on 3/2/26

Today at Ridge Oak, volunteers helped seniors with video editing questions. The senior wanted to learn how to include background music in a video, cut videos to a certain length, etc. There was also another senior who had issues with trying to add the wechat of someone in China. A senior had issues with turning down the brightness on their phone. The volunteer helped the senior out by showing him how to find it and turn it up. There was also another question with changing the order of photos/videos in the Photos app. The volunteer explained to him that it was not possible. There were also issues with checking if the phone was updated, and how to permanently delete photos before the 30 days.  Finally a senior had issues with selecting multiple photos at once and using the Ridge Oak app.

After today’s afternoon technology session, both seniors and students felt more connected and together as a community. Seniors felt more connected to the tech dependent world, and students understood the needs of those in their community.
