Aylus Great Neck Branch Volunteer in Cradle of Aviation for robotic event on 2/21/2026 (Day 2/3).
On 2/21/2026, Aylus volunteers went to the Cradle of Aviation (museum) to assist the robot competition organizers (C2C) in managing the event to ensure the smooth running of the competition.
The whole volunteer activity is about helping out C2C to make sure the robotic event goes well. The event for today is named C2C Robotics VEX V5 Push Back Qualifier, the event starts at 9:30 in the morning, and ends at 6:30 pm.
While AYLUS from Great Neck are helping C2C to organize the competition, volunteers from AYLUS Roslyn came to the field one after another, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. At 2 p.m. we have a total of 9 volunteers and we evenly split to 3 of the competing field instead coming back and force.
Then the competition continued, from 32 to 16, all the way to the semi finals and the final, there were a total of around 45 rounds throughout the day, and volunteers were resetting the field after each round.
Because of the appointment, all of the guests should be leaving the room at 6:30 p.m. AYLUS volunteers helped the staff to clear the area and evacuate personnel, along with the Roslyn branch.
All the contributions that were made by volunteers are supporting the community, and helping the county. We are not paid and don’t need to be paid as a nonprofit organization.
