Members of the Aylus Morris Branch partnered with Help4All to support local shelters and individuals in need by organizing a reusable shopping bag collection. Recognizing the environmental and practical value of reusable bags, the branch aimed to provide essential resources while encouraging sustainability in the community. To raise awareness, members designed creative poster and distributed them throughout the neighborhood, informing residents about the collection initiative and inviting participation. Their outreach efforts were effective, as community members responded generously, resulting in a total of 140 reusable shopping bags collected.
The branch members coordinated every step of the project, from promotion to collection. They ensured the bags were gathered, organized, and prepared for distribution in an orderly and safe manner. On February 16 at 1:00 PM, the members personally delivered all 110 reusable bags to Help4All, where they will be distributed to local shelters to support individuals and families in need. By participating in the full cycle of the project, members strengthened their teamwork, communication, and organizational skills while also gaining a deeper understanding of community service logistics and impact.
This initiative highlights the branch’s commitment to combining creativity, planning, and social responsibility to address real community needs. Beyond simply collecting items, the members actively engaged with the community to encourage participation and raise awareness, demonstrating leadership and initiative. The project reflects how small contributions, when coordinated and guided by purpose, can have a meaningful effect on the lives of those in need. Through this effort, the Aylus Morris Branch not only provided material support but also fostered a culture of giving, environmental awareness, and civic responsibility within the local community.
