AYLUS Basking Ridge held its weekly iPad Club at Fellowship Village on 2/7/26.Today our members helped several seniors on this busy morning. One senior asked about email systems and lost his old email User Interface. The volunteer and senior found out it was outlook 2013 and set it up again. Another senior asked about instagram and suggested accounts. A volunteer gave instructions on how to use various parts and helped her practice it. Lastly, one customer asked about getting stuck on parts of her phone, which the volunteer gave general instructions and information about what the phone would open to and more. Another volunteer helped with finding the mail apps when Microsoft is updated and how to pin the mail apps. There were also questions about how to find a banking website, how to go to different homepages in different apps and search with the search bar. One senior just got a new phone, and one of our members taught her how to take a photo, delete photos, and view photos. Finally one senior had issues with deleting phone call history, doing phone calls, and sending messages.
Our members helped seniors feel a sense of belonging into the new modern age of technology. The volunteers also talked and engaged with the seniors, learning what it truly means to be part of a community.
