In contrast to the chilly weather outside, the auditorium is heated with warmth, laughter, and sounds of instruments from over 300 performers in various events. AYLUS volunteers split up with Felicia, Dylan, and Catherine taping posters of directions that will greatly help navigate the foreign audiences in this new, wholesome environment. Owen sat in the back corner of the stage, opening and closing the curtains in a moment’s notice. Afterward, Kevin and a bunch of leads finished with moving the boxes and wooden trays. Owen led the volunteers to move yet another 5 boxes of calendars that’s necessary for the performance. The boxes were extremely heavy, but AYLUS volunteers persevered. All in all, it’s safe to say that the success of the GNCA New Year Celebration depended on the silent, yet supportive AYLUS volunteers working backstage.
