On 1/18/2026, members of West Essex volunteered at CareOne in Livingston, a facility providing skilled nursing, assisted living, and memory care in a home-like setting. Volunteers spent their time engaging with senior residents through a variety of enriching activities, including one-on-one conversations, games, rehabilitation assistance, etc. These programs were designed to foster joy, social interaction, and mental stimulation among the residents.
Volunteers collaborated with CareOne staff to ensure all activities ran smoothly and residents were comfortable. The experience was both rewarding and educational, allowing volunteers to contribute meaningfully to the community while gaining a deeper appreciation for senior care.
