AYLUS Great Neck Branch holds AAPI Event at the Main Library 43rd (1/24)

On Saturday, January 24th, the AYLUS Great Neck Branch successfully held its 43rd event at the Great Neck Main Library. The event opened with members reading stories to attendees:  including 100 Days by Kimberly Lee (read by Rainie Cheng), Little Bird Laila by Kelly Yang (read by Rebecca Xu), and One Drowsy Dragon by Ethan Long (read by Nathan Li).

After the storytelling session, volunteers and attendees engaged in a variety of hands-on activities. This included crocheting, making paper stars, and creating origami dragons done by Andrew, Rainie and Victoria. While Nathan, Rebecca, and Brian helped kids with a new pom pom activity that required matching pom pom to specific colors to create a mosaic. Through these interactive activities, participants were able to practice creativity while also developing fine motor and dexterity skills. Overall, the event was both educational and enjoyable for everyone involved.
